Balloon dolphin for my family

My daily digest is a balloon dolphin today. My sis, Amy especially loves dolphins and our family have a special memory of dolphins. Years ago on our journey to Canada, a school of dolphins apparently helped to balance our boat during a huge storm and that saved our boat from flipping over and possibly killed us all during our journey from VN to HK (around 1982)...so this is for my family. Love you all lots.

Turkey fruit gobblers for Mace's preschool potluck

This has nothing to do with balloons.
Mason's preschool had a potluck today and we decided to make turkey fruit gobblers for the party...pretty gobblers eh? I found an article on Familyfun magazine and thought it was cute and kid's friendly for Thanksgiving so here they are. Am I all about good times, good fruits/food and kids or what? Haha

My daily balloon digest...A Thanksgiving turkey

Mason and I were in Toronto for 6 weeks and i had a lot of time to practice and perfect my balloon twisting skills. I made a lot of balloons for families and friends in Toronto and they gave me great feedback...hence i am more confident. To keep it simple I try to learn one balloon item(animal or thing) a day. It is my daily digest.

Now, fast forward to today...i made a cute turkey for USA upcoming Thanksgiving...check it out...i timed myself and it took me about 2 minutes to make this turkey...pretty cool eh?

My very first balloon birthday party

I didn't know balloon twisting would be so much fun and everyone around me were getting balloon animals and they all love it. My very first balloon birthday party was last Sunday and it was for a special girl who turned three, Mina. Thanks to her parents who gave me this amazing opportunity to make balloon birthday hat, princesses and animals for the kids. This really help to build up my confidence. Thanks to Vanessa and Matt. This is a great kick start for me. By the end of the party, both the kids and parents were so happy with the balloons and that made me feel so so so good. I had a BIGGEST smile on my face when i went to bed that night. Happiness is contagious and what can i say...

How i started balloon twisting...WOW...how much i love doing it!!!

It all started around this past August 2009, when we went to SC farmer's market and Mason (my 2 yrs old toddler) was WOWed with all the balloon animals from this balloon twister. Mason ended up with a Elmo balloon and he loved it. As a mom, i thought it may be fun to twist a few animals at home to keep my son entertained as well as to surprise my hubby, Nick. I decided to look online and found balloon twisting youtube videos and started my very first balloon dog. It was pretty easy for me so i kept going to see what else i can make. I made more dogs and rabbits and the next thing i realized i couldn't stop and the whole house was filled with balloon animals. Nick would came back from work and was wowed everytime i tried a new balloon animal. That kept me going and here i am having a blast doing it. I actually wowed myself because i never thought in a million year i would be doing BALLOON TWISTING!!! Wow, wow and wow!!!
