A Balloon star to put up on our Christmas tree...thanks to Mason
We had our Christmas tree up a few days ago and last night Mason asked to put a star on top of the tree and we currently don't have one. Maybe Nick and I were too lazy to get one previous years. While i was playing Tonka trucks with Mason last night, I thought maybe i can make a balloon star and put it up instead. So here it goes, this save us time going to find one and save us a few bucks also. The balloon
star holds up pretty well and answers Mason's wish for having a star up on the tree...yeah!!!

Santa Claus is coming to town...balloon santa hat
Santa Claus is coming to town...balloon santa hat.
Made this hat a few minutes ago while Mason is napping away. Have no one to model it so got my pooh bear to model my hat instead...haha enjoy
I gotta admit, this Christmas is like no other Christmas. The reason is that Mason knows about Christmas and Christmas carols. He can sing the "We wish you a Merry Christmas" song to Nick and I. He loves his classic Christmas movies like, Rudolph the Red-nose Reindeer and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town. We often put the Christmas XM radio (Holly) on and we all can listen to the various Christmas carols while we play or building Yo Gabba Gabba legos together and it is a lot of fun. Tonight we are going to Redwood Shores library to see Santa Claus so that Mason will get more into the Xmas mood...
So everyone, get out there and enjoy the festive xmas around us!!!

Rudough the rednose reindeer
A very simple reindeer with his red nose...i am ready for the xmas holidays...enjoy
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!

Jake's bday at Bounce U
Hope everyone has a great weekend...the experience at Bounce U (www.bounceu.com) this past weekend was great. It was a happy surprise for me because as i got to the Bounce U door, i saw a friend of mine and his family. He was there to celebrate his son's 6th birthday. He was surprise to see me there too. He came over and really like the balloons and asked if i can come to the birthday party room...so i was instantly hired...haha
The kids were very happy when they see balloons. Their eyes lighted up and they started telling me what balloon items they want. The most popular balloons were spiderman, giraffe, palm trees and princess crown. The kids lined up to get their balloons (each kid had about 2 balloons) and that made my day.
Thanks Jake's parents for hiring me and keep them coming...Cheers

Balloon dolphin for my family
My daily digest is a balloon dolphin today. My sis, Amy especially loves dolphins and our family have a special memory of dolphins. Years ago on our journey to Canada, a school of dolphins apparently helped to balance our boat during a huge storm and that saved our boat from flipping over and possibly killed us all during our journey from VN to HK (around 1982)...so this is for my family. Love you all lots.

This has nothing to do with balloons.
Mason's preschool had a potluck today and we decided to make turkey fruit gobblers for the party...pretty gobblers eh? I found an article on Familyfun magazine and thought it was cute and kid's friendly for Thanksgiving so here they are. Am I all about good times, good fruits/food and kids or what? Haha

My daily balloon digest...A Thanksgiving turkey
Mason and I were in Toronto for 6 weeks and i had a lot of time to practice and perfect my balloon twisting skills. I made a lot of balloons for families and friends in Toronto and they gave me great feedback...hence i am more confident. To keep it simple I try to learn one balloon item(animal or thing) a day. It is my daily digest.
Now, fast forward to today...i made a cute turkey for USA upcoming Thanksgiving...check it out...i timed myself and it took me about 2 minutes to make this turkey...pretty cool eh?

My very first balloon birthday party
I didn't know balloon twisting would be so much fun and everyone around me were getting balloon animals and they all love it. My very first balloon birthday party was last Sunday and it was for a special girl who turned three, Mina. Thanks to her parents who gave me this amazing opportunity to make balloon birthday hat, princesses and animals for the kids. This really help to build up my confidence. Thanks to Vanessa and Matt. This is a great kick start for me. By the end of the party, both the kids and parents were so happy with the balloons and that made me feel so so so good. I had a BIGGEST smile on my face when i went to bed that night. Happiness is contagious and what can i say...
How i started balloon twisting...WOW...how much i love doing it!!!
It all started around this past August 2009, when we went to SC farmer's market and Mason (my 2 yrs old toddler) was WOWed with all the balloon animals from this balloon twister. Mason ended up with a Elmo balloon and he loved it. As a mom, i thought it may be fun to twist a few animals at home to keep my son entertained as well as to surprise my hubby, Nick. I decided to look online and found balloon twisting youtube videos and started my very first balloon dog. It was pretty easy for me so i kept going to see what else i can make. I made more dogs and rabbits and the next thing i realized i couldn't stop and the whole house was filled with balloon animals. Nick would came back from work and was wowed everytime i tried a new balloon animal. That kept me going and here i am having a blast doing it. I actually wowed myself because i never thought in a million year i would be doing BALLOON TWISTING!!! Wow, wow and wow!!!
